Description
Situating themselves in key locations (information booth) in order to be identified and easily approached by the travelling public. Welcoming guests in the arrivals area as they arrive from their flight.

Helping the travelling public by answering their questions and offering assistance and/or referring them to the agency/organization which can help them. Questions can be in relation to services provided at the airport, tourism, flight information, etc.

Assist the airport authority during special events.

Provide tours of the terminal building to school groups (if they choose to do so).

Interpreting and translating for those travelers/users that have language difficulties.

Qualifications
We have a total of 12 volunteers that work a four hour shift each per week that are planned according to the busier periods of the flight schedule. They are all retired and most of them are very active in the community. They all like the idea of volunteering at the airport. They like the coming and going of the traffic, the excitement and sadness of people greeting and saying goodbye to their loved ones. Above all, they enjoy the satisfaction of helping a tourist arriving in the Greater Moncton area for the first time.
