Description:
To stand beside a Salvation Army Christmas Kettle which are located in 3 different locations between the hours of 9am - 9pm Mon - Sat and 2 locations Thursday to Saturday 10am - 9pm. Locations are, Champlain Mall, Trinity Superstore, Vaughan Harvey Liquor Store, Riverview Superstore and Riverview/Sobeys Liquor Store. Must  maintain a professional appearance and attitude and wear a Salvation Army volunteer identification at all times. Volunteer is not to engage in online social networking/texting or use of cell phones of a personal nature while at the kettle. Must not eat, drink or smoke or use foul language while standing on the kettle. Must not solicit or coerce customers or passers by. Must not babysit or bring young children while on the kettle. Is encouraged to smile, be polite and greet donators with a Merry Christmas and a Thank You.  Must have own transportation
Qualifications:
Must be 19 years of age & up as 2 of our locations are Liquor Stores.

Weekly Time Commitment:
volunteers have the option to do minimum 2hr shift or longer if willing at any one or more of our 5 kettle locations.

Training:
It is mandatory for all volunteers to complete a form at the Salvation Army Community & Family Service, 32 King St between the hours of 10am & 2pm Mon - Fri at which time responsibilities will be reviewed with volunteer.o
