Description
To informe and educate groups (Schools, scouts, brownies, et...)
about animal welfare, kindness, spay neuter, etc...Includes gibing
tours of shelter & visiting different organizations.
Qualifications
Require own transportation. Bilingual. Ability to speak with
groups of school age children regarding importance of animal
welfare. General knowledge of proper animal care or interest
in learning.
Approximate time of assignment: continuing
Weekly time commitment: depends on demands from groups
Specific day and/or time: none, usually, groups phone the SPCA
to attend schools, meetings, etc...Therefore it is difficult
to give specific time, dates, etc...
Training: Responsibility of Humane Educator to read information
provided by SPCA and be familiar with purpose SPCA. Videos/Hand-outs
for groups provided by SPCA. |
